Targus’ Zip-Thru Is Airport Friendly

Targus’ Zip-Thru Is Airport Friendly

Targus isn’t letting Skooba get all the the airport friendly laptop bag attention. Today the company announced its Zip-Thru case. The 15.4-inch case should eliminate the step of having to remove a laptop from a laptop case when moving through airport security. Now if only they could come up with shoes that I wouldn’t have to remove I’d be pretty happy.

Of course, the Zip-Thru case has been designed in conjunction with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The Zip-Thru  has special technology baked in that provide screeners’ with the ability to get a clear image of the laptop when properly secured in the bag.

My only question is will screeners be aware of these new bags or will we be forced to unpack our laptops even though we have invested in the new bags? Hopefully the TSA will tell screeners which bags are good to go and move right on through the track. I plan on getting one in before my next trip to put it through the screening test. Hook us up Targus!

The first Zip-Thru case will be available in black in October for $99.99.
