Roxio Debuts Creator 2009

On the heels of Adobe’s Photoshop Elements 7 and Premiere Elements 7 launch, Roxio has unveiled Creator 2009,

Roxio Debuts Creator 2009

an all-encompassing media suite allowing users to edit photos and videos, as well as author high-definition discs. The software, which is available today at www.roxio.com for $99.99, has several key new features. First, users can now upload photos and videos to Roxio Online, a new gallery with an emphasis on slide shows and storytelling. Membership to the site is free, but there’s also a premium version with added sharing and editing features.

Secondly, Roxio now allows users to author Blu-ray discs, and there are new templates designed just for this format. Thirdly, AudioBook Creator converts audiobooks into chapters, so that when you upload it you don’t just get an unwieldly amorphous file. Finally, Beatmatching is a cool new feature that makes any playlist seamless by blending the beat of one song into the beat at the beginning of the next song. It can compensate for differences between any two songs. That’s good news if your soiree calls for both Miles Davis and Jay Z.
