Logitech Debuts The Squeezebox Boom

This morning, Logitech unveiled the Squeezebox Boom, an all-in-one networked music player that lets users listen to tunes from any room in the home.  All you need to do to pump up the volume is plug the Logitech  Squeezebox Boom into a power outlet,  and connect to a Wi-Fi signal.

Once it’s on the network, you can begin grooving to digital music living in your notebook, or internet radio stations and subscription services such as Last.FM, Pandora, Rhapsody, Sirius, and Slacker.

The Logitech Squeezebox Boom is powered by an all-digital 30-watt amplifier accompanied by two ¾-inch, high-definition woofers, and a sub-woofer for added bass. If you don’t feel like rockin’ the house, a 3.5 mm jack lets you plug in your headphones. For sleepyheads, the Squeezebox Boom works as an alarm clock and can wake you up to your favorite tunes. The music player also comes with a remote control.

Intrigued? The Logitech Squeezebox Boom network music player is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in September for a suggested retail price of $299.
