ASUS Goes Luxury Netbook

ASUS Goes Luxury Netbook

It is no shock that ASUS has been growing its Eee PC family, but some leaked pictures seem to indicate that ASUS isn’t only looking at low-cost mini-notebooks, but is also targeting the higher end netbook buyer.

According to www.blogeee.net, ASUS is headed to market with the 10.2-inch N10 that lacks the Eee PC brand name. We are pretty sure the only thing that Blogeee is going on is the pictures of the system. Take a look at the shots below, but it includes a fingerprint reader, HDMI output, Altec Lansing speakers, and Express Card slot. It is rumored to sell for $699.

What we don’t know are the internal specs. Will it have a high capacity SSD for its plus $600 price point? Will it have an Atom processor? Either way, it should be better configured than the $599 Eee PC 1000.
